Day Twenty Two

When I dropped Anne off at her house, I was playing with her cat. I wish I could have one at my apartment, It gets very lonely here with Mike being gone. I think if I could have a cat-I would have something to look forward to at the end of the day, but it's in our lease, we can't have any pets :( This is Leonitis

Day Twenty

There is little I love more in this life than New York Yankees baseball. I eat, sleep and breathe pinstripes. This year it took me longer than usual to get to the stadium, but I finally got there. They didn't win the game, there was no Sinatra playing as I was leaving the stadium, which is sad because I love walking out hearing "New York, New York" playing in the background. It wasn't that they didn't even win, it was how badly they played which was sad. Cervelli did well, as well as my hubby Jeter, but Burnett was ridiculous as well as Cano, I'm not sure if they weren't communicating or what, but it was a sad game. Burnett was being boo-ed at his own stadium, that can't be good for the ego. These were some shots of the stadium.

I got a new bedset for my bed today, I also go black out curtains to go with it-they'll be here next week tho. This is our new set.

Mike wanted a Topsy Turvy tomato planter-we bought it a few months ago and he quickly lost interest in it-leaving me to take care of the darn thing. We got our first ripe tomato today I was able to get off the vine. Here it is...

Day Seventeen

I went to the beach today with my best friend, ended up getting sunburnt pretty badly. Even with SPF 30 sunblock which was applied more than once and we were only there for a little over an hour! This is us at the beach :)

Day Sixteen

♥ It is a military tradition that true friends can go long periods of time without speaking and never question their friendship. These friends pick up just like they spoke yesterday, regardless of how long it has been or how far apart they live. ♥


Over the past several years I've made several friends in the military-serving and as wives/girlfriends. There's a support bracelet called a 550 cord bracelet, I've made several of them and sent them out at the post office today. This was the packages laid out on my floor before I headed to the post office.

Day Fifteen

Today started quite early for me, 4:45am in fact-when Mike's alarm went off and got up to get ready to leave. He was leaving the house at 5am for the next 4 months. Which may not seem like that much time, but for us-this is the longest we've been away from each other since he was at BCT over 2 years ago. This was him pulling out of the driveway today.

After Mike left, I went to my parents and we went to church and then a family breakfast-it would be our last family breakfast until next year when my brother returns home from the Netherlands. He's doing 2 semesters over there for school. This was our last family portrait until he returns.

 He should be on his way to Dublin right now, his flight left JFK at 5:45pm, this was him walking through the line at security on his way. I'll miss that little bugger.

Day Fourteen

Mike leaves in the morning, I'm gonna miss him a lot-but I posted a picture for yesterday of his "mancave" being a mess-this is what it looks like now, he did well cleaning it up

Day Thirteen

Tonight Mike and I went to dinner with his dad and Meme, went to Applebee's so this was me on the website figuring out what I wanted before we left

I got my birthday gift from my parents today, which was the best gift I think I ever could have gotten! I've been seaching for a Don Mattingly poster from 1989, it was a Converse poster that only a few number of were printed.  My dad was able to find the poster, and not only was it the poster-it was a SIGNED version of it! I've been looking for this poster for like 4 years now-AND NOW I HAVE IT! And for some reason Mike won't let me hang it over the bed... I'm not sure why...

Day Ten

25 long years ago, at 8:47pm in Lewisville Memorial Hospital in Texas I was born to a very drugged up Momma F and my daddy :) My BFF Jackie came up and took me out to lunch today at Panera Bread-I got the tomato basil mozzarella salad-OMG, it was heaven in my mouth! lol

Day Nine

I cooked steak on the grill tonight for Mike! He said it came out pretty good-which makes me happy since I don't even eat steak lol!

Day Eight

Today I celebrated my birthday with my family, my mom, dad, brother, his girlfriend, and Mike. And it was perfect-I couldn't think of a better way to spend my evening after a few tough days at work. 

My momma made me my favorite dessert ever, funfetti ice cream cone cupcakes WITH rainbow chip frosting! (there was one causality in the bunch so momma saved it and ate it!)

 My dad took the time to set the table outside for us to eat, using all orange plates since it's my favorite color!

While dinner was cooking, I went into Pauly's room to play with my dog Spicey, she's a nut job lol

Day Seven

I know I'm a day late, but I didn't get home til 11:30pm last night and had to get up at 5am to go to work, so sue me! lol, Today I babysat my niece, well, technically she isn't my niece, but she calls me Aunt Kat... She's a sweetheart when she wants to be, but don't let her cuteness fool you! She can be a terror! lol

This was me after working an 8 hour day and then 3 hours into babysitting and episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba, Dora, Diego, Backyardigans and Wonderpets lol

Day Six

Tonight I didn't feel like making dinner-so we ordered pizza :)
 This is me outside waiting for the Pizza Hut guy to get there-he called to say he was here and I still had to wait outside for him for 5 mins lol

 yay! the pizza finally got here!! I got breadsticks for myself and hot wings for Mike 

Mike was cursing me for getting the hot wings lol, his mouth was on fire...

 After dinner he decided he wanted to label my leg "POM" for Property of Mike lol

 

Day Five

It POURED today, the thunder was so bad it was shaking my house! This a picture of the rain from my front porch

Once the rain stopped and I was sure it wasn't going to rain anymore I decided to go for a walk, I need to start getting back in shape so I decided to walk until I got to the liqour store just before the highway comes in.  It took me a little under an hour and this was me right before I got into the house

 I bought a pedometer today too, I used it on my little walk :)

3.66 miles!

my goal was 10,000 steps, I made it 77% of that, 7,753 ain't bad! :)

Today I spent all day working on a birthday gift for my friend David, his birthday is Aug 8th so I sepnt today making his. This is the box, I'll be sending it to him tomorrow :)

I decided to give this another shot... So here goes nothing....

Today my parents had a party for my brother (he's leaving in a few weeks for the Netherlands for a whole year abroad), Mike (who's leaving for 4 months for school, the same day as my brother leaves), and my birthday (I'm turning 24 for the second year in a row..).  I was hanging out outside with a few of my friends, this is us..
